How do smart gloves work? Capacitive touchscreen devices function because your fingers conduct electricity and distort the screen’s electrostatic field where your finger has pressed onto the screen, the device then registers this distortion as an input triggering the desired action. However when you wear gloves your fingers ability to conduct electricity is stopped meaning the so that the touch screens electrostatic field is not distorted and the action is not registered. Smart gloves have conductive finger tips allowing charge to pass through them making it possible for you to use your smart device whilst wearing the gloves!
